Gulafshan Black

Gulafshan Black — Hand-Embroidered Cross-Stitch Merino Wool Shawl

Rich rose bouquets, embroidered entirely by hand, give Gulafshan Black its striking presence. Burgundy and pink blooms unfold among green leaves and pale blue accents, with individual cross-stitches defining the petals and their shading. Small rosebuds sit between the larger arrangements, allowing the black background to frame each bouquet.

Crafted from pure Merino wool woven in Islampur, Swat, the shawl combines natural warmth and softness with detailed hand embroidery from South KPK, Pakistan. Its generous floral motifs make it a statement piece, revealing the intricacy of the needlework as you look closer.

Wear it for festive dinners, winter wedding gatherings or as a distinctive addition to a bride’s winter wardrobe. Draped over a simple suit, the roses become the focal point; paired with occasion wear, they add colour and texture. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who treasures fine wool and traditional handwork.
